A note about American Express cards
We’ve included American Express cards in our listing. Loblaws stores don’t accept Amex but most of the other major Canadian grocers do:
- Sobeys and Safeway
- Metro
- Save-On-Foods
- Walmart
If you still plan to shop at Loblaws on a regular basis, these cards won’t be good options for you.
And if you shop at Walmart Supercentre, it’s important to note that Amex and Visa do not consider it a grocery store. If this is where you do your grocery shopping, consider getting a Mastercard so that you can enjoy your grocery earn rates there.
