Scotiabank is known for their "you're richer than you think" slogan – and I think they succeeded in creating some of the richest cash back focused bank accounts and credit cards on the market.

Their Momentum line of credit cards is famous, especially the Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite which gives a whopping 4% cash back on recurring bills and grocery purchases. No other card comes close to that.

Scotiabank was also the first Canadian bank to issue an American Express credit card. Normally Amex sticks to issuing their own credit cards, but Scotiabank welcomed them into their fold, linked them up to their excellent Scotia Rewards program, and produced some really top-notch rewards credit cards, especially for travel.

The Scotiabank Gold American Express in particular gives 5x the points for grocery, restaurant, and entertainment purchases, 3x the points on gas, transit, and select streaming services, and 1 point per $1 spent on everything else.

The GM Visa credit cards are also worth mentioning if you have any interest at all in purchasing a new GM vehicle sometime in the future.

Both the no-fee and and premium GM cards offer an insane 5% rewards on your first $5,000 to $10,000 in spending annually. No other card can match that high earn rate and the card really can't be beat for low spenders who are going to be buying a new vehicle anyway.
