What is DoorDash?
DoorDash is one of the biggest food delivery services available in Canada. When corona shut the doors on indoor restaurant dining, the ability to order food from your favourite restaurants and have it delivered directly to your door was both convenient and much safer.
The company is based in America but serves all of the major cities in Canada, including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and more.
How does DoorDash work?
To order from DoorDash, you can either head to the website or download the app (available on both Apple and Android).
Once you create an account and enter your address, you’ll be shown all the nearby restaurants that are currently open for ordering:
Click through to the one you’re craving the most, and you’ll be shown the full menu which you can add directly to your cart.
Once you’re finished your order, you’ll see the full total of your order, which includes any DoorDash surcharges, the delivery fee, the tip (customizable), and applicable taxes. You’ll then complete your payment and the restaurant will confirm your order.
When your order is in, a DoorDash delivery driver will be dispatched and pick up your order at the restaurant. They’ll then drive to your home and leave it at your door for a contactless transaction. Bon appetit!
How to get DoorDash free delivery
But with all the extra charges you can expect from a delivery service, saving on the delivery fee can be a big help – especially if you plan on ordering from DoorDash often.

The major way to get free delivery is by subscribing to the DoorDash DashPass.
