It's time to say goodbye to Tims Mastercards. They're no longer available to new members. If you already have a card, you can keep using it until October 1, 2026.
What happens then? Neo (the backer of Tims cards) will issue you a simple Mastercard that has no fee but also offers nothing – that means no perks or rewards.
Alternatively, you can transfer your account over to Neo, which allows you to instead choose any Neo card as your replacement – no credit checks required. These cards do have rewards, so this is a much better option.
And of course, you also have the option to simply pay your balance and close your account.

Neo credit card replacements
Neo Financial has quite a few credit cards you can choose from – and they're all offered as secured cards, too, so if you're looking for a good replacement for your secured Tims card, you'll have plenty of options.
Every Neo Mastercard has rewards partnerships with many different retailers.
First, there's the most basic card: the Neo Mastercard. The rewards are limited – it only earns 1% cash back when not shopping with a partner retailer.
Next up is the Neo World Mastercard. There are 3 versions of it, each with a different set of rewards. These cards have no annual fee and come with some insurance and World Mastercard benefits.
Here are the different rewards for each version. If you're looking to maximize your rewards at Tim Hortons, the best replacement is the Shop and Dine version.
