Here's what all of these cards have to offer.
1. Tangerine Mastercards
Both Tangerine Mastercards are offering $175 in GeniusCash. The Tangerine Money-Back Credit Card and the Tangerine World Mastercard are similar cards with no annual fees, though the World version offers a few more benefits.

1x Award winner You get to choose which categories earn you 2% cash back – 2 categories (out of 10) when your rewards are applied as a statement credit or 3 if they get automatically sent to a Tangerine Savings account. You'll earn 0.5% on all other purchases.
There's also a welcome bonus: an extra 10% cash back on all purchases for the first 2 months up to $1,000 in spend (basically a bonus $100).
Both cards include basic extended warranty and purchase insurance, and come with a balance transfer offer of 1.95% for the first 6 months.
GC: $125
To get the extra perks of the World card, you need a personal income of $50,000 or a household income of $80,000. It offers:
- Mastercard Travel Pass membership (no free passes)
- Car rental insurance
- Mobile device insurance
- World Mastercard benefits
2. MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard
The MBNA Rewards World Elite Mastercard is one of the best credit cards in Canada thanks to its top-notch rewards and good insurance – and it’s offering a boosted GeniusCash amount of $150.

4x Award winner You’ll earn MBNA Rewards on all your purchases:
- 5 points for every $1 spent on restaurants, groceries, and select recurring bills (up to $50,000 spent annually per category)
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
These points are worth 1 cent each when redeemed for travel through MBNA Rewards, and slightly less if used towards e-gift cards.
You can earn 30,000 bonus points simply by spending $2,000 in the first 90 days (that gets you 20,000 points), with the remaining 10,000 points coming just for enrolling in e-statements.
It also has an excellent insurance package with 12 types, including the rare price protection insurance.
The annual fee is $120 and you’ll need $80,000 personal or $150,000 household income.
3. Tims Credit Cards
New to GeniusCash are Tims credit cards. You've no doubt seen them advertised inside a store. Now, you can earn some GeniusCash with them.
Our Black Friday offer is $125 and there are 2 card options – both with no annual fee. While the cards offer rewards (Tims Rewards, naturally), they’re light in other departments.
Here’s what you’ll earn with the regular Tims Mastercard:
- 15 points per $1 spent at Tim Hortons (which includes 10 points for being part of Tims Rewards)
- 5 points per $1 spent on gas, groceries, EV charging, transit, taxis, rideshares
- 1 point per $2 spent everywhere else
There's also a secured version of this card, the Secured Tims Mastercard.
In exchange for near-guaranteed approval as a secured card, you'll get some lower rewards:
- 12 points per $1 spent at Tim Hortons (which includes 10 points for being part of Tims Rewards)
- 2 points per $1 spent on gas, groceries, EV charging, transit, taxis, rideshares
- 1 point per $4 spent everywhere else
You can redeem your points in-store at any Tims or use them towards a statement credit. If you're a frequent Tims visitor, it can be a worthwhile card to have!
Bonus: Both cards are offering new members a $20 digital Tims card after you make your first purchase.
