How to get 700 bonus WestJet dollars
Getting your 700 WestJet dollars takes a few steps. Here's how it shakes out:
- 300 WestJet dollars after your first purchase
- 300 WestJet dollars when you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months
- 100 WestJet dollars after your 1st anniversary
Those 700 WestJet dollars will give you 700 dollars off the base airfare of your next flight on WestJet. You can also use them towards:
- WestJet vacation packages
- Flights with WestJet airline partners (Delta, Air France, Qantas)
What the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard offers
The WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard is designed for those who fly (or can fly) with WestJet once per year.
Here's what you'll earn on purchases:
- 2% back in WestJet dollars on WestJet purchases
- 1.5% back in WestJet dollars on all other purchases
But there are also the WestJet benefits. These will save you money and offset the annual fee even if you don't make a single purchase.
The biggest is the annual companion voucher. Book a flight for 2 and on the 2nd ticket, you'll only pay the taxes and fees.
- Within Canada and to the continental U.S. – $119
- Everywhere else in the world – $399
You'll also get the first checked bag free for you and up to 8 others travelling on the same reservation.
All this comes with an annual fee of $119 and income requirements of either $80,000 personal or $150,000 household.
