New: Earn Canadian Tire Money at Tim Hortons

A major Canadian partnership is officially live.

Tims Rewards and Triangle Rewards members can now link their accounts and earn up to 5% in Canadian Tire Money on eligible Tim Hortons purchases, on top of the Tims Rewards points they already earn.

The partnership launched in September 2026, giving regular Tims customers another way to earn rewards on purchases they were probably making anyway.

How the Tims and Triangle Rewards partnership works

Once your Tims Rewards and Triangle Rewards accounts are linked, you can earn up to 5% in Canadian Tire money on eligible purchases at participating Tim Hortons locations. Here's how earning works:

• Scan for Tims Rewards: Earn 2% in Canadian Tire Money on eligible pre-tax purchases.
• Scan for Tims Rewards and pay with a Triangle credit card: Earn an additional 2% on the total post-tax purchase.
• Use a Triangle credit card with Scan & Pay in the Tims app: Earn an additional 1% on eligible pre-tax purchases.

To link your accounts, visit the Triangle Rewards and Tims Rewards partnership page and select Link Accounts. You'll be prompted to sign in or create accounts for both programs.

Your rewards stay separate after linking. Canadian Tire Money can't be redeemed at Tim Hortons, and Tims Rewards points can't be used at Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire Money can still be redeemed at participating Triangle Rewards partners, including:

• Atmosphere

WestJet and Triangle Rewards

In 2025, Canadian Tire announced a new relationship with WestJet. Similarly, this partnership allows users to link their rewards memberships for bonus benefits,

Link your WestJet and Triangle Rewards accounts, and earn 0.4% Canadian Tire Money and 1 WestJet point per $2 at participating stores (like Mark's, SportChek, Canadian Tire and more).

You also have the option to convert WestJet Rewards into Canadian Tire Money.

Petro-Points and Triangle Rewards

With Petro-Points and Triangle Rewards, when you gas up at Petro-Canada and Gas+ stations, you can double dip on your rewards (with a catch).

Once your accounts are linked, you'll earn up to 12 Petro-Points per litre of fuel purchased. But to get Canadian Tire Money, you'll need to pay with cash, debit, or a Triangle Mastercard, like the Triangle World Elite Mastercard.

What you'll earn depends on how you pay:

• Get up to 3 cents per litre on fuel in CT Money when you pay with cash or debit
• Get up to 5 cents per litre on fuel in CT Money when you use a Triangle Mastercard
• Get 10 Petro Points on fuel, car wash, or in-store purchases, plus 20% more on the same transaction when you link your accounts

With all these partnerships, you'll be able to earn CT Money at more places and get more value out of your Triangle Rewards membership.
