But this isn't the only change. As of November 2, 2026, 6 Scotiabank cards have updated welcome offers, with some getting more generous and others taking a step back. Scotiabank Gold American Express^® Card reaches a record-high bonus

The Scotiabank Gold American Express^® Card has an annual fee of $120, but cardholders who sign up for this card after November 2 will be getting more value than ever when its welcome offer jumps to $1,100 in value, including as many as 65,000 Scene+ points.

That will be the highest ever welcome bonus we've seen on this card.

At the same time, the Scotiabank Passport^® Visa Infinite +^* Card will boost its offer to $1,350 in value, including a welcome bonus of up to 35,000 Scene+ points. This more than offsets the card's annual fee of $150.

Both of these welcome bonuses run until January 3, 2027.

The Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card also got a bump, with its welcome bonus increasing to as many as 10,000 Scene+ points. This card has no annual fee, making it an accessible addition to your wallet. This offer is available until April 30, 2027.

Some Scotiabank credit card offers are dropping

Not every card raised its welcome offer on November 2.

The welcome bonus that comes with the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite + Card card decreased from 15% cash back to 10% cash back, worth up to $200.

The welcome offer that comes with the Scotiabank American Express^® Platinum Card has gone down too. The offer is still worth an impressive $2,800 (including up to 80,000 Scene+ points), but prior to the change, new cardholders could earn up to 100,000 Scene+ points as a welcome gift.

At the same time, the Scotiabank American Express^® Card's welcome bonus has dropped to 5,000 Scene+ points. This card is widely referred to as the "Red" card due to its flashy red card art.
