BMO and Shell are teaming up and anyone who has a BMO credit or debit card can save on fuel – 2 cents per litre on all fuel grades, and 7 cents if you buy Shell V-Power Nitro fuel. This offer stacks with any other offer you may have.

BMO Shell fuel savings
You'll be able to get your fuel savings with any BMO credit or debit card – but how you get the savings depends on whether you’re using a BMO Air Miles credit card or another BMO card.
But no matter which card you’re using, you must pay through the Shell GO+ app or at the pump to qualify for the discounted fuel, which is applied immediately.

BMO Air Miles credit cards
There's one less step for you if you have a BMO Air Miles Mastercard.
- When paying for fuel, load your Air Miles number in the Shell app or swipe your card at the pump
- Pay with your BMO Air Miles Mastercard and you'll get your fuel savings

All other BMO credit and debit cards
For any other BMO card, there's a one-time step you'll have to take first.
You must link your BMO credit card to your Air Miles account. To do so, simply head to the partnership page and enter both your BMO credit card number and your Air Miles card.
Once that's done, enter your Air Miles collector number and pay with your BMO card when getting fuel to get your savings.

All BMO credit and debit cards are eligible for savings. Here's a quick overview of 2 of your credit card choices – 1 premium and 1 no fee.
BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard
The BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard is an excellent credit card for travellers. Here's what this card earns in BMO Rewards on purchases:
- 5 points per $1 spent on travel
- 3 points per $1 spent on dining, entertainment, and recurring bills
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
When you travel, you get some extras:
- Mastercard Travel Pass membership that includes 4 passes per year
- 14 types of insurance, which is among the best insurance packages available
It's all for an annual fee of $150.

BMO eclipse rise Visa Card
For no fee cards, the BMO eclipse rise Visa Card is an excellent choice from BMO. Here are the BMO Rewards earn rates:
- 5 BMO Rewards points for every $2 spent on dining, groceries, and reccurring bills
- 1 point per $2 spent on all other purchases
You can also get a pair of annual bonuses:
- 2,500 bonus points when you pay your bill on time and in full for 12 consecutive months
- 2,500 bonus points if you redeem 12,000 points per year towards statement credits
It's also an excellent credit card for newcomers to Canada as BMO has special credit score requirements for anyone who doesn't have a credit report in Canada.
