The Amex Choice Card is now the Amex Green Card
Amex’s iconic Green Card is coming to Canada.
On August 16, 2021, the Amex Choice Card was transformed into the Amex Green Card.
But what does that mean for you? On the whole, not much changed about the card.
It will still have no annual fee, and you’ll earn 1 Amex Membership Rewards point per $1 spent on every purchase.
But a big change is in store for redeeming points. This card now has access to the full suite of Membership Rewards redemption options.
So what does that mean? You’re getting a card that has plenty of potential.
Here are the best ways you can redeem your Membership Rewards points, and what each point is worth:
- Transfer to Aeroplan: 2 cents
- Fixed Points Travel Program: 1.75 cents
- Transfer To Marriott Bonvoy: 1.16 cents
- Redeem for any purchase charged to the card: 1 cent
Redeem for cash, and you’re getting a return of 1% on your purchases.
Or transfer to Aeroplan instead, and you’re looking at a return of up to 2% on your spending.
This high value made this card a top contender for best no annual fee credit card for 2021 (along with some other categories as well).
