Both American Express Marriott Bonvoy cards have a new limited-time offer for new cardholders.
The Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card are offering up to 110,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points. This is a big improvement over the typical 50,000-point offer for the personal card (or 60,000 points for the business version).

New Marriott American Express offers
The offer for both the personal and business versions of these cards is the same, but how you earn them is slightly different.
Your 110,000 points come in 2 chunks. Here's how they're earned for the personal card:
- 80,000 points after spending $6,000 in the first 6 months
- 30,000 points after making a purchase in month 15.
For the business card, you simply have to spend more to get the initial 80,000 points:
- 80,000 points after spending $10,000 in the first 6 months
- 30,000 points after making a purchase in month 15.
We estimate these points to be worth an average of $1,067 when you redeem for free hotel nights.

Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card
The Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card is an excellent card for just about anyone to have.
It starts by earning plenty of Marriott points everywhere you shop:
- 5 points per $1 spent at Marriott properties
- 2 points per $1 spent on all other purchases
The real value of this card lies in the benefits. And the biggest one is the annual free night.
Here’s how it works: Roughly 8 weeks after your card's anniversary (you don't get this benefit in your first year), you'll get a free night certificate worth 35,000 points. Simply find any night that's worth 35,000 points or less, and it's yours.
This card also comes with 15 Elite night credits and Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status, which can be upgraded to Gold by spending $30,000 in a year.
You can get all these benefits for the card’s annual fee of $120.
Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card
The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card is a very similar card. The biggest differences are in the rewards and annual fee. All the Marriott benefits are the same – the free night and Silver status are still included.
Plus, you’ll get a higher earn rate in a few categories. Here’s what you’ll earn:
- 5 points per $1 spent at Marriott properties
- 3 points per $1 spent on gas, dining, and travel
- 2 points per $1 spent on all other purchases
The annual fee for this version is slightly higher at $150.
