How much your rewards are worth
The dollar value of your rewards depends on the specific rewards program ‒ and what you choose to redeem your points for. For Desjardins Odyssey Visa Infinite Privilege in particular, if you spend $2,000 per month, here's our estimated annual rewards earned depending on which reward you choose:
| Any purchase | $528 | |
| Gift Cards | $528 | |
| Desjardins financial products | $528 |
Calculating your annual rewards

Our review
This premium credit card comes out in our top 10 for insurance even though this card only includes 10 of the 16 possible different types of insurance, we still consider this card at the top of the list! (Find out why here).
However, when it comes to perks, this Visa Infinite Privilege card from Desjardins doesn't stop there. You also get:
- a complimentary Priority Pass Membership, with 6 yearly passes to any Priority Pass lounge to go with it,
- 12 yearly passes to the Desjardin Odyssey Lounge, which is located at the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport,

If you travel a lot, for business or pleasure, these perks could make your journey a lot more enjoyable.
Plus, because this is a Visa Infinite Privilege card, cardholders are also given access to:
- 24/7 Visa Infinite Concierge Service,
- Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection,
- Visa Infinite Dining Series, and
- Exclusive entertainment offers.
On top of all those perks, the Desjardins Odyssey Visa Infinite Privilege allows cardholders to earn up to 4% back with every purchase. The rewards earned are BONUSDOLLARs and those BONUSDOLLARs can be used for a number of different things:
- cash back,
- merchandise,

- donations.
Finally, to make this card an even stronger contender, cardholders are given a low interest rate of only 9.9% on all purchases, cash advances, and balance transfers - for an unlimited amount of time!
The downsides
Unfortunately, these great perks come with pretty high annual fee of $395, not to mention it requires a minimum income of $200,000. So, this card isn't for everyone. But if you qualify, this card could be worth considering.

Among the best benefits is the 60 days insurance coverage. It is ideal for people who practice risky sports abroad. And the BONIDOLLARS rewards are generous.
The worst card for travel if you go to destinations out of Europe or North America. My card gets blocked EVERY time and the process to reactivate it is complicated as it’s impossible to call them from a foreign cell phone in most countries. They have the worst customer service you can imagine and they are not helpful. I definitely do not recommend for travel.
295$ as a Desjardins member, great customer support, card works almost all the time outside Canada and it has a very generous and straightforward point system. I used the travel insurance once for delayed baggages and though it did require proofs and some patience, I got a refund after 2 months. No welcome package, but simple flexibility.
Never seen a card better than this over the last 10 year. Even better if you are a Desjardins customer
Really good customer service and great protections. Free second card and discount of 100$ for Desjardins members.
