Walmart has revamped their Mastercards. Walmart Mastercard rewards are now focused on earning the most when shopping at Walmart stores – 3% back to be precise.
All the other bonus categories are gone, so you’ll earn the flat cash back rate of 1% everywhere else.
The Walmart Rewards World Mastercard still offers a little bit of insurance the regular card doesn't, but the rewards structure for both cards is now the same.

New rewards with Walmart Mastercards
Both Walmart Mastercards – the Walmart Rewards Mastercard and the Walmart Rewards World Mastercard now offer the same rewards.

With the removal of the bonus categories, these feel like true store credit cards – bonus earn rates at the issuing store and a flat rate everywhere else.

Delivery pass subscription benefit
Walmart has also added a new benefit for these cards. If you purchase a Walmart Delivery Pass subscription, you get a few months free. The number of free months varies by card.
- Walmart Rewards Mastercard – 3 free months
- Walmart Rewards World Mastercard – 6 free months
To access this benefit, you have to use your Walmart Mastercard to pay for an annual membership, which currently costs $89. You'll then get a statement credit for either 3 or 6 months worth of your membership.
This is an annual benefit which will renew every year you have the card.
