Earn 15% cash back with a Tangerine Mastercard

Previously, you’d get an extra 10% cash back on all your purchases for the first 2 months, on $1,000 in spend. If you maxed that out, you’d get an extra $100 in cash back.
But the offer has been increased by 50%. You’ll now earn an extra 15% cash back on your first $1,000 in spend, over the first 2 months. That’s up to $150 in bonus cash.
And unlike most cash back welcome offers where the bonus rate includes what you would normally earn, this is on top of your card’s regular rewards.
Tangerine’s offer ends on November 30, 2021.
But that’s not all…
To top it off, both Tangerine credit cards have GeniusCash offers. You’ll earn $100 cash on us when you get approved for either one (just note you can’t apply for both).
And with your approval, you’ll be automatically entered into our huge giveaway. Right now, you could win $10,000 in cash – but if we reach 5,000 valid entries, the grand prize will be upgraded to a brand new Tesla Model 3.
Learn more about GeniusCash offers and the Tesla giveaway here.
These GeniusCash offers end on December 31, 2021.

An overview of Tangerine Mastercards
New to Tangerine Mastercards? Here’s what they have to offer.
They have a very unique rewards structure. You get to decide which categories you earn 2% cash back in. Here are your choices.

As to how many categories you get to choose, it depends on where you get your rewards deposited (which happens monthly).
If you get them applied as a statement credit, you’ll get to choose 2 categories. But if you get them deposited into a Tangerine Savings account, you’ll get to choose 3 categories.
You’ll earn 0.5% cash back on all other purchases.
As for other things these cards offer, they come with a balance transfer offer of 1.95% for 6 months, and basic extended warranty and purchase protection.
The Tangerine World Mastercard has a few extra features than the Tangerine Money-Back Credit Card – but it also has higher income requirements of either $60,000 personal or $100,000 household.
These are:
- membership to Mastercard Airport Experiences (each visit costs US$32),
- mobile device insurance, and
- car rental insurance.
And of course, both cards have no annual fee.
