What is this offer? Simply put, for the first 2 months, you’ll earn an extra 15% cash back on all your purchases until you’ve earned a total $150 in cash back.
It’s a pretty sweet deal for a no fee, cash back credit card.
And on top of that, there’s also our GeniusCash offer, where we’ll give you $100 when you get approved for one of the cards using our offers page. The good news is this part of the offer will stick around until February 28, 2022.
Quick facts on Tangerine Mastercards
New to Tangerine Mastercards? Here are the basics on what these cards offer. They’re very similar no annual fee cards.
First, they both earn the same rewards, so here’s what both cards offer:
- 2% cash back on up to 3 categories of your choice, and
- 0.5% cash back on all other purchases.
You’ll get a choice of 10 categories to earn 2% cash back in, with some categories not found elsewhere, like hardware and furniture stores.
You get to choose 2 categories if you get your rewards applied as a statement credit and 3 categories if you deposit them into a Tangerine Savings account.
These cards also come with a balance transfer offer of 1.95% for the first 6 months you have the card. And they both include extended warranty and purchase protection.
So that’s what you’ll get with both cards. On top of that, the World Mastercard offers a few more extras:
- car rental and mobile device insurance,
- World Mastercard benefits, and
- Mastercard Airport Experiences membership (no free passes).
It does have high income requirements of either $60,000 personal or $100,000 household, but since there’s no annual fee, there’s no reason not to get the World version if your income amounts qualify.
