What the Rogers Red World Legend Mastercard offers
Like all other Rogers Mastercards, the Rogers Red World Legend Mastercard is a cash back credit card. As long as you have an eligible Rogers service, this card earns 2% cash back on all your purchases. If you don't have a Rogers service, you'll still earn 1.5%.
You can redeem your cash back towards whatever you want, as long as the purchase is $10. Whether you want to book travel, buy a new appliance, or simply foot your grocery bill, you can use your cash back to pay.
You can boost your cash back by redeeming it towards Rogers services. How does this work? Essentially, when you redeem for a Rogers service, you'll get a 50% bonus, increasing your earn rate to 3%.
If these rewards sound familiar, it's because both the Rogers Red Mastercard and Rogers Red World Elite Mastercard offer 2% cash back on all purchases if you have a qualifying Rogers service.
So why upgrade to the World Legend™ tier? Because the benefits included are vast. A big one – no foreign exchange fees. While the other Rogers cards get you bonus cash back on USD purchases, this card will simply save you the 2.5% fee on any purchase made in foreign currency (while still earning 2% cash back).
For existing Rogers customers, there's also the $200 Rogers entertainment credit. This credit can be applied to a wide range of Rogers services, which are:
- Rogers, Shaw, and Comwave cable packages
- Rogers Xfinity TV bundles, AppTV, StreamSaver and streaming subscriptions.
- Sportsnet+, Discovery+ and Citytv+ subscriptions
It does not include any wireless services from Rogers or Fido.
If you're a Rogers Wireless customer (this does not apply to Fido), you'll also get 10 Roam Like Home days free per year, which is a $180 value. This is twice as many free passes as the no-annual-fee Rogers cards offer.
Airport lounge access? This card has it. It includes 6 free passes to Plaza Premium lounges. There are over 250 of these lounges around the world. Plus, cardholders get a Mastercard Travel Pass membership. However, you'll have to pay US$32 for every visit.
The insurance included is quite good – this card includes 11 types of insurance. Here are the details.

What is Mastercard World Legend?
In summer 2025, Mastercard unveiled a brand new tier of credit cards. Ranking above Mastercard World and World Elite tiers, World Legend™ is Mastercard's new highest level.
World Legend™ Mastercards are poised to rival Visa Infinite Privilege and American Express Reserve and Platinum cards with perks for dining, entertainment, and travel.
The Rogers Red World Legend Mastercard is Canada's very first World Legend™ Mastercard, making it a premium addition to Rogers' lineup.
Mastercard is still releasing more details about World Legend™ benefits, but we've heard to expect local benefits in 2026 and beyond.
Comparison to other Rogers Mastercards
So how does this new card compare to other Rogers Mastercards? And more specifically, is it worth the $495?
We've talked about it already, but if you have a Rogers service, the rewards among these 3 cards are the same.
Even if you don't, the Rogers Red World Legend Mastercard and the Rogers Red World Elite Mastercard still have identical rewards, with one card having no annual fee.
So, the question is: are those benefits worth the annual fee? The value of benefits lies in the eye of the beholder. What are they worth to you? There's an easy $200 in savings if you have a qualifying entertainment service from Rogers. The lounge passes are also nice, assuming any airport you travel through has a Plaza Premium lounge.
Applying for a Rogers Red World Legend Mastercard
Want to apply? You can apply for this card now. However, Rogers won't be mailing out cards just yet, though you can expect this to happen as early as the end of March 2026. It's also not available in Quebec yet, but that will change in the future.
If you already have a Rogers card and want to switch to this one, you're in luck. You can call now to inquire about an upgrade.
