Plastiq no longer accepting American Express credit cards
American Express cards can no longer be used when paying bills through Plastiq.
Oddly enough, you can still add an Amex card to your Plastiq wallet without any issues.
However, when you go and try to make a payment with it, you’ll get this error message.

You can see the Plastiq American Express card policy here, but not much is said, other than you can use Visa, Mastercard, or Discover cards instead. They know and acknowledge it’s not going to be a popular decision.

If you want to continue using Plastiq for bill payments, you’ll have to stick to Visa and Mastercard.
