Web Perspectives is another popular survey site that pays you to share your opinion. It’s not unlike other sites like Branded Surveys.
In this article, we’ll go over whether Web Perspectives is legit, how it works, and what you can earn in terms of Web Perspectives rewards.

What is Web Perspectives?
Web Perspectives is a Canadian market research panel that was founded in 2004. Its main claim to fame is that it hosts online surveys that pay its members for their opinions.
It’s a little different from competitors like Survey Junkie since the payouts for completing surveys are rewarded as points which can be redeemed for gift cards instead of cash.
Even though you’re not getting cash bonuses, it’s still a fun way to get rewarded for your opinion. Plus, you’ll feel less guilty making some crazy impulse purchases on Amazon if it’s a gift card as opposed to money that looks like it came from your paycheque.
How to sign up for Web Perspectives
It’s quite easy to sign up for Web Perspectives.
You can sign up on their website with your email, but you also have the option to connect your Facebook account to log in easily.
According to their terms and conditions, you need to be 18 years or older and also reside in Canada to open an account. They do say that they may ask for the opinion of minors, but only with parental consent.
How to participate in Web Perspectives surveys
Getting started with Web Perspectives is a simple process. Once you create your account and fill in some pre-survey questions, you’ll have access to different surveys with different amounts of points that you can earn.
How much can you earn with Web Perspectives?
It depends on the length of the survey. The amount of points per survey you complete can range from 50 – 500.
On average, you’ll see returns of around 100 points per survey and the redemption threshold is 1,000 points. This is worth $10 in gift cards.

This is something that you’d expect to see when you’re just starting out. You’ll get more surveys once you’ve filled out your profile questionnaires as well.
At first glance, these aren’t that rewarding. You’ll earn $1 per 100 points, but you’ll have to spend 15 minutes to earn what is essentially a buck fifty if you look at the “entertainment” survey.
If you feel the rewards are too small (and they’d be for gift cards, not cash), this may not be the right platform for you.
Web Perspectives badges
If you’ve made an account, you’ll notice that you can earn badges and “level up” your profile. This can be done by building your profile, filling out surveys, and earning rewards.

We looked into this a little bit. I filled out a bunch of questions to build my profile and did a survey. I unlocked every badge in the Bronze section and was immediately sent to the Silver section.
After looking at the rest, it’s unfortunate that we found there are no bonus earn rates or anything for getting these badges. They may look cool, but unlike some other survey platforms who reward more active users (like those who would have put in a lot of time to attain Diamond status), on Web Perspectives, this is purely cosmetic.
It’s not entirely bad – what is implied is that with more surveys completed and more of your profile filled out, you would get more “tailored” surveys, according to Web Perspectives.
Now, that doesn’t guarantee you will get more surveys (which would mean more chances to earn points), but it may mean you get more valuable ones.
I can’t personally confirm it as I have a full-time job writing articles for your pleasure. But if I have time in the future, this may warrant an update if I can do a whole bunch more surveys.
One downside that we have to mention is that if you don’t maintain your badge status by continuing to fill out surveys or updating your profile, you will progressively slip down the ladder.
Web Perspectives rewards
As we mentioned before, there are no cash-based payout options available with Web Perspectives, so you’ll be rewarded with gift vouchers instead.
We know it’s disappointing, but at the very least, they have some high-profile retailers that you can earn gift cards for. Here’s a list of of some of the Web Perspectives rewards partners:
- Amazon.ca
- Air Miles,
- Visa prepaid cards (virtual),
- Ultimate Dining Card (redeemable at places like Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, milestones, etc.),
- Tim Hortons,
- Cineplex,
- Hudson’s Bay,
- UNICEF charity donations,
- Indigo, and
- Golf Town.
The most significant of these Web Perspectives rewards is probably the one run by a certain Mr. Bezos – many people make purchases on Amazon. We also like that they have Air Miles since that’s a large, popular program as well.
All in all, because it’s a Canadian company, the Web Perspectives rewards you can earn are nearly all accessible and useful to all of us.
It certainly beats the whole “this content isn’t available in your country” kind of thing that we have to put up with for living in the best country in the world (sorry, America).
Is Web Perspectives legit?
Yes, Web Perspectives is legit. It’s operated by Dynata, which is a global research firm based in Texas.
It boasts an average TrustPilot score of 4.3 stars out of 5, with well over 80% of reviews giving them 4 or 5 stars.
Of the negative reviews we read, a lot of them had to do with users finding out that after answering some questions, that they were not eligible to continue and would not be paid out. That’s a common issue that people have with surveys, however, and as of today, only 5% of people rated Web Perspectives as a 1-star service.
In terms of data protection, Web Perspectives stands behind its users’ privacy and pledges confidentiality and anonymity.
Their data policies are certified as they’re members of both the Marketing Research Association (MRA) and the Market Research Society (MRS).
Would you sign up after reading our Web Perspectives review?
Now that you’ve read our Web Perspectives review, are you interested in making an account and earning some gift cards? Or are the rewards presented by Web Perspectives just a little low for the amount of effort you want to put in?
It’s a little different from its competitors, but it’s still a viable option and it can totally be added to your “beer money” arsenal.
