Use TD Rewards points at Amazon
You can now use your TD Rewards points to pay for purchases at Amazon.
How does it work? First, head to this Amazon site and register your TD Rewards account.
To use your points, simply fill a cart, and select your TD Rewards credit card as your payment option when checking out. You’ll then be given the option to use some (or all) of your points to help pay for your purchase.
What are your TD Points worth when shopping at Amazon?
So what are your points worth when using them at Amazon? Unfortunately, neither the Amazon or TD Rewards site covers this little detail (the TD Reward site doesn’t even mention this redemption option right now).
But thanks to RedFlagDeals user roofgoof, we have our answer.
303 points will give you $1 off at Amazon, a value of 0.33 cents per point.
Here are all the other TD Reward redemption options, and where this one slides into the list.
| TD Rewards redemption option | Value in cents per point |
|---|---|
| Travel booked through Expedia For TD | 0.5 |
| Any travel booking | 0.4 |
| Pay for education | 0.4 |
| Amazon | 0.33 |
| TD Shop The Mall | 0.3 |
| Gift cards | 0.25 |
| Statement credits | 0.25 |
| Merchandise | 0.23 |
It’s not the best value for your points, but it certainly isn’t the worst, either. If you have no plans for travel and have an Amazon shopping spree coming up, it’s not the worst way to get some immediate use of your points.
Your turn
It’s always nice to see reward programs making improvements and giving more choice when it comes to redeeming rewards.
