After receiving many extraordinary applications to our 2026 GeniusCash scholarship, our team took the time to review every single one.

Each story was unique and incredible, but we had to pick just one recipient. Now, we're excited to share our decision.

The 2026 scholarship recipient: Jessie McKinnon

After reviewing over 1,000 applications, we're excited to announce that Jessie McKinnon of Barrie, Ontario is the recipient of our 2026 GeniusCash Scholarship of $5,000 CAD.

Currently studying Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph, Jessie hopes to build a career in healthcare. She chose this field for the chance to make a real difference in people's lives and keep learning along the way.

Jessie impressed our team with her drive and her dedication to helping others. She taught herself art and music, trains in weightlifting and running, and volunteers in her community. She also sees financial literacy as a path to long-term stability for herself and her family.

We wish Jessie all the best in her studies and beyond!

Our mission is to help Canadians find the products that best suit their financial needs – to be able to better manage their finances and keep more money in their wallets.

Our scholarship is an extension of that. It's a way that we can offer support for tuition costs to help someone move forward on their path to a better financial future.
