RBC WestJet World Elite Mastercard
Let’s start with the
The typical welcome bonus for the card is 250 WestJet dollars, which was increased to 350 before summer started.
But WestJet and RBC have now supercharged the offer even more. Now, you’ll earn 450 WestJet dollars as such:
- 250 WestJet dollars after your first purchase, and
- 200 WestJet dollars after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months.
And that’s not all. In your first year, the companion voucher is free to use for flights within Canada, or to the U.S. or Mexico. Usually the voucher costs $119, so this promotion can mean huge savings for you.
And like all RBC premium credit cards, you’ll get 12 months of free DoorDash DashPass.
As for what the card offers, here are the basics:
- up to 2% back in WestJet dollars on purchases,
- first checked bags free for the cardholder and up to 8 others travelling on one reservation, and
- an annual companion voucher.
This premium package is only for an annual fee of $119, and income requirements of either $80,000 personal or $150,000 household.
RBC WestJet Mastercard
The
Normally, you only get 50 WestJet dollars after approval. However, spend $1,000 in the first 3 months, and you’ll get another 50 WestJet dollars.
To top it off, it comes with 3 free months of DoorDash DashPass.
That’s all on top of earning up to 1.5% back in WestJet dollars on all purchases, and getting an annual companion voucher for travel within Canada or to the U.S.
This card has a low annual fee of $39 and no income requirements.
