PC Travel website being shut down on July 15, 2023
The PC Travel website is being decommissioned – you’ll see it the next time you head to pctravel.ca.

The site will be shut down on July 15, 2023. You can continue to make bookings until July 14th, for travel ending on or before July 31, 2023.
After that time, the site will be no more. So if you have any bookings you want to make with them, act now before the site is gone forever.
Alternative rewards programs to earn bonus rewards on travel purchases
PC Travel’s biggest plus was earning points you could use to get free groceries.
There’s another program you can turn to in Scene+. Scene+ operates a travel website in conjunction with Expedia. On all your hotel and car rental bookings, you’ll earn 3 points per $1 spent.
And this is available to all Scene+ members – no special credit cards or subscriptions included. It doesn’t apply to all travel unfortunately, but covers 2 basics. Those points you earn? You can use them in these 4 ways, all for a value of 1 cent per point:
- future travel with Scene+/Expedia,
- groceries at Sobeys and Safeway,
- Cineplex products, and
- Recipe Unlimited restaurants.
If you want to earn even more Scene+ points, Scotiabank has a lineup of Scene+ credit cards you can look at. You won’t earn any bonus rewards on travel bookings, but you’ll still get 1 point per $1 spent on all your purchases.
Here are the Scene+ credit cards you can take a peek at.
GC: $100

GC: $100

GC: $50

Let’s take a closer look at one of them – the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Card.
Here’s what you’ll earn for rewards on all your purchases:
- 3 Scene+ points per $1 spent at Sobeys, Safeway, FreshCo and more
- 2 Scene+ points per $1 spent on groceries, restaurants, entertainment, and daily transit
- 1 Scene+ point per $1 on all other purchases
It also comes with these excellent travel perks:
- no foreign exchange fees,
- Visa Airport Companion membership with 6 free passes, and
- 11 types of insurance.
You’ll get all this for a standard annual fee of $150.
