National Bank’s top credit card is the National Bank World Elite Mastercard.

With this card, you’ll earn:

  • 1.5 points per $1 spent on the first $40,000 in purchases,
  • 2 points per $1 spent on the next $40,000 in purchases, and
  • 1.5 points per $1 spent after that.

With an NBC Rewards point worth up to 1 cent each, that’s a return of up to 2%.

It also has a unique perk – an annual travel credit that saves you up to $250. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • $100 for airport parking,
  • $100 for checked bags, and
  • $50 for seat selection.

What’s more, it also has a comprehensive travel insurance package – 10 types, including 15 days emergency medical coverage for those over 65.

It’s all for an annual fee of $150, that’s currently waived for the first year. And it has income requirements of either $80,000 personal or $150,000 household.

Looking for the premium insurance coverage, but don’t meet those income requirements? The National Bank World Mastercard offers the same insurance package for slightly lower income requirements.

That said, it does have lower rewards. You’ll earn:

  • 1.25 points per $1 spent on the first $20,000 in purchases,
  • 2 points per $1 spent on the next $10,000 in purchases, and
  • 1.25 points per $1 spent after that.

But, it has identical insurance to its World Elite brother. And, it’s for a lower annual fee of $115 (with the first year free), and income requirements of either $60,000 personal or $100,000 household.

Finally, we have the National Bank Platinum Mastercard.

This card keeps the rewards simple – you’ll earn 1 point for every $1 spent.

And it still provides 10 different types of insurance coverage, just at lower amounts.

It’s for an annual fee of $89 and no income requirements.

Just note that this card is not first year free.

National Bank seldom offers any significant sign up bonus but this promotion is very appealing. $480 cashback for a premium card and $120 cashback for a no annual fee card are both good incentives. The min monthly spending requirements spread out over 12 months makes it easier to achieve for some people (instead of the typical large spending requirement within 90 days that is associated with most sign up promotions).

We agree, National Bank is running some pretty impressive promotions on their cards right now. And as you said, the spend limits to reach them are reasonable as well. Thanks for your comment!
