New GeniusCash Feature: Fast Payout

Wondering how fast you’ll get your GeniusCash? We have a new feature for you: the Fast Payout badge.

Fast Payout badges are being issued to products, banks, and issuers that typically pay out within a week. This feature is currently exclusive to our GeniusCash app, though it may be rolled out to both creditcardGenius and moneyGenius in the future.

In case you’re not familiar, GeniusCash is a rewards program that offers Canadians real cash back, delivered directly through PayPal or Interac. You can earn GeniusCash as cash back on your spending, or by claiming offers to open new banking products – like our new Fast Payout offers.

How financial products qualify for fast payout

To qualify for fast payout, our partners must meet certain criteria for at least two months.

It boils down to how fast they let us know if someone was approved for one of our offers. The maximum possible wait time should be 3.5 weeks (to resolve any disputes that may arise or to allow someone to finish getting approved if it wasn't automatic).

However, the average wait time has to be less than a week for anyone who was approved for their product on the spot.

The Fast Payout badge is essentially our way of saying, "Apply and get approved for this product right away – you'll get your money within a week".

What Fast Payout looks like

What does it look like? On our product widgets in the app, you'll see a lightning bolt symbol on the "See Deal" button.

On our next page with the details, that same symbol will be on the apply button. There's also this little section:

Our new Fast Payout badge is currently available only in our GeniusCash app. In the future, we may extend this to both creditcardGenius and moneyGenius.
