From now until March 31, 2020, any BMO AIR MILES cardholders will save 3 cents per litre at Shell stations.
One thing to mention – Shell abruptly cancelled a similar gas savings promotion last fall which left a bad taste in a lot of our mouths. That being said, this exact BMO offer ran without any problems during the summer, so it’s hard to say if you should worry or not.
If anything, it means you may want to take advantage of this as soon as you can – just in case it does end early.

Are you an existing cardholder? You may have seen an email similar to this:
To get this offer, check your email, and activate the offer using the link provided.
Didn’t receive the email? Simply head to this page and enter your collector number to activate the offer for your card.
You have until March 5th to activate it and once you do, you’ll enjoy 3 cents per litre gas savings at Shell until March 31, 2020. Just be sure to swipe both your BMO card and your collector card to get your savings.
New BMO cardholders
Don’t have a BMO AIR MILES Mastercard? Unfortunately, we can’t verify if this offer will be available for you.
The terms only mention 1 vague sentence about this: “Cardholders must have an existing BMO AIR MILES® credit card to receive the offer.” But we don’t know if that means getting the card during the next few months makes you ineligible…
If you do end up getting a new BMO card that earns AIR MILES, after you activate it, head to the promo page and enter in your collector number and see if you’ll be able to enjoy the savings with your new card. It’s worth a shot.
