A new transfer partner is coming to American Express Membership Rewards. Soon, you'll be able to transfer your points to ALL Accor.
The transfer rate? 2:1, meaning 1,000 Membership Rewards become 500 Accor points.
If ALL Accor doesn't seem familiar to you, you're not alone (this writer wasn't sure either). But a big chain is part of the program – Fairmont, along with some others like Novotel and Sofitel.

ALL Accor value
ALL Accor points can be used for free stays at some of the most historic hotels in Canada – think the Chateau Frontenac, Chateau Laurier, Royal York, Banff Hot Springs, and Chateau Lake Louise, to name a few Fairmont hotels.
ALL Accor keeps it simple when it comes to redeeming your points. Every 1,000 points can save you 20 Euros on a stay.
At the time of writing, €20 EUR is worth $32 CAD, meaning each Accor point is worth 3.2 cents. Keep in mind that this value will fluctuate with the CAD-EUR exchange rate.
What does that mean for Membership Rewards point transfers? You'll be able to get a value of 1.6 cents per point.
While ALL Accor point transfers aren't your best option, they're high on the list in terms of value. British Airways is the highest value transfer partner, offering 2 CPP, followed by Aeroplan at 1.6 CPP. Or you can get 1.75 CPP by keeping your points with Amex and using them on the Fixed Points Travel Program.
How to use American Express Membership Rewards for ALL Accor Hotels
As American Express Membership Rewards members will know, these points can already be redeemed toward any type of travel. So considering it was already possible to use your Amex points towards an upcoming stay at a Fairmont hotel, what do you gain by transferring your points instead? 60% more value per point.
When you use Amex points toward a travel purchase, they're worth 1 cent per point. 2,000 Amex Membership Rewards points would only save you $20 CAD.
But if you transfer those 2,000 Membership Rewards points to 1,000 ALL Accor points (remembering the 2:1 ratio), they're worth €20 EUR instead – or $32 CAD.

About ALL Accor
Accor is a large collection of various hotel brands. This list includes luxury brands like Fairmont as well as midscale and economy brands.
While almost all Canadian ALL Accor hotels are Fairmonts, you'll also find a few Novotels in Toronto and Montreal, as well as an Emblems Collection hotel in Banff, an MGallery Collection hotel in Vancouver, and a Sofitel in Montreal.
There's no variable pricing when it comes to using your points for free nights. As covered, 1,000 points simply saves you approximately $32 CAD on your stay.
As for earning points when you stay at Accor hotels, base members earn 25 points for every $10 EUR spent (with some exceptions).
Like many rewards programs, ALL Accor offers status levels that earn bonus points:
- Silver: 31 points for every $10 EUR
- Gold: 37 points for every $10 EUR
- Platinum: 44 points for every $10 EUR
- Diamond: 50 points for every $10 EUR
You can earn points on room rates, dining, and spa treatments at hotels. You won't earn any on any taxes and fees.
