Some Aeroplan program feature updates
There’s also a new feature when booking points with Aeroplan. When searching for flights using points, you can now see the lowest point requirements for both the next and previous 3 days.
Here’s an example for a flight from Toronto to Calgary.

This will make it easier to find flights that require fewer Aeroplan points. It’s only available for flights within Canada at this time, but will be rolled out to all flights in the near future.
In addition to this, you can also select your seats when booking Aeroplan reward flights with partner airlines. This was not an option before – if you wanted to reserve seats you had to call the airline you were flying on.
Now you can save that hassle and do it online while you’re booking your flight. It’s limited right now to business and first class bookings with a few airlines (Lufthansa being the biggest one), but this will be expanded in the future.
