ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard review
ATB is one of the biggest banks in Alberta, and they offer a selection of credit cards for people to use.
One of them is a no fee travel credit card with the ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard – here's what it can offer you.
Pros of the ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard
Here's what the ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard has going for it.
1. No annual fee
The ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard charges no annual fee. If saving on fees is your goal, this is one of several ATB credit cards that doesn't have one.
2. Good rewards on purchases
The rewards you'll earn are in line with some of the better no fee credit cards in Canada. On all purchases, you'll earn 1% cash back on all purchases. That's a lot of points, but you have to keep in mind each point is only worth 0.5 cents each when redeemed for travel.
But that's still a return of 5% on everything.
You can also redeem your points for cash, just note your points are only worth 0.5 cents.
3. Good insurance
It may be a no fee card, but that means it doesn't skimp on the insurance. It includes 8 types. That won't compare to top travel credit cards, but that's a lot more than most no annual fee cards provide.
4. Choose your card design
With most ATB cards, there's no need to use the standard credit card design given to you. With ATB, you can choose from 80 designs, where there's bound to be something you like.
Downsides to the ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard
There's one big thing to think about with the ATB Gold My Rewards Travel Mastercard.
The major downside to this and all ATB cards is they're only available to residents of Alberta. So if you don't live in Alberta this card isn't of any value to you.
