WestJet Rewards members can now earn and redeem WestJet points on Skip the Dishes orders, thanks to a new loyalty partnership between the two Canadian brands.

Launched in November 2025, this partnership allows members to earn WestJet points on eligible Skip the Dishes purchases. You can redeem these points for flights, vacation packages, or Skip Credits.

How the partnership between WestJet and Skip works

To start earning points through this partnership, members must link their WestJet and Skip accounts via either app or website. Once your accounts are connected, you’ll receive a bonus of 500 WestJet points and a six-month Skip+ trial, which offers zero-dollar delivery fees from participating restaurants and retailers.

Bonus points earned when connecting Skip and WestJet accounts

Note that you may not see your perks right away. It can take up to 48 hours.

With your accounts connected, you can earn WestJet points on qualifying Skip orders. These points can be used to purchase WestJet flights and vacation packages, or converted into Skip Credits to pay for food and grocery delivery, pharmacy essentials, and other retail orders available through Skip.

How to earn WestJet Rewards points with Skip

There's no "earn X WestJet points per $1 spent" with this partnership. Instead, you'll get at least one weekly offer from Skip to earn WestJet points.

Offers will vary, but one example is spending at least $30 before any tips/taxes/fees to earn 300 WestJet points.

These offers will appear in your Skip dashboard every Wednesday.

Redeeming WestJet points with Skip

You are also free to turn your WestJet points into Skip credits. But if you're thinking "this probably won't be worth it" – you're absolutely correct.

There are four redemption levels:

  • 3,100 WestJet points for a $25 Skip credit
  • 6,200 WestJet points for a $50 Skip credit
  • 9,300 WestJet points for a $75 Skip credit
  • 12,400 WestJet points for a $100 Skip credit

Each of these has the same value, converting 1 WestJet point into about 0.8 cents each. This is worth 20% less than saving for travel through WestJet, where points are worth 1 cent each.

So, the only real reason to spend WestJet points on Skip is if you have extra points lying around from the occasional flight and either have no travel plans with WestJet moving forward or won't have enough to cover the minimum $15 redemption.

This collaboration between WestJet and Skip mirrors a growing trend in the loyalty space to connect reward programs with everyday spending platforms.

Two more examples are Air Canada’s partnership with Uber and Uber Eats, and TD’s partnership with Starbucks. These collaborations allow Aeroplan members to earn and redeem points on eligible rides, food delivery, and grocery orders, and help TD clients earn TD points and bonus Starbucks stars when making purchases at Starbucks.
