You can earn 7.5% cash back on all your purchases for the first 3 months, up to $2,000 in spend. But it’s important to note that this includes what you would already be earning on your day to day purchases.
What do you earn on your everyday purchases? The card has bonus earn rates on many basic categories.
This card earns:
- 2% cash back on gas, groceries, recurring bills, and drugstores, and
- 1% cash back on all other purchases.
Based on our typical $2,000 monthly spend, the actual bonus is worth $121.
And for a low annual fee of $39, it has a few other features, including:
- up to 25% discount on rental cars through Avis,
- extended warranty and purchase protection, and
- a balance transfer offer of 2.99% for the first 6 months.
It’s not the greatest balance transfer offer around, but combined with the welcome bonus it gives you another reason to consider this card, whether you just want some extra cash back, or also have some higher interest credit card debt you need to tackle.
