New BMO Rewards travel point values

Sadly, BMO Rewards points are being devalued when redeeming for travel.

Currently, you need 140 points to get $1 off on travel booked through BMO Rewards – a value of 0.71 cents.

However, starting on May 5, 2021, you’ll need 150 points to redeem for $1 in travel rewards, a new value of 0.67 cents per point, a decrease of 7% in value.

There is one small silver lining – for any points you’ve already earned, BMO will increase your bank by 7% to make up the difference. The devaluation will only affect points you earn after May 5, 2021.

BMO rewards need to do more as far as rewards for dollar equivalent to points to Travel. Earlier it was @140 per dollar today it is gone down to @1 dollar to 150 points for travel. Need to improve above 140.
