New BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard exclusive offer
The standard offer you'll see on BMO's site with the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard? Up to 100,000 points.
Our offer is 15% better at 115,000 points. Here's how you earn them:
- 60,000 points after spending 4,500 in the first 110 days
- 20,000 points after spending $10,000 in the first 6 months
- 35,000 points after spending $20,000 in the first year
115,000 BMO Rewards points are worth $771 in travel.
We also have our own sweetener for this card. You can earn $125 in GeniusCash when you get approved through our offers page.
There's also a new balance transfer offer with the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard. Pay 0% for the first 12 months on balance transfers, with a 2% fee. This is a top balance transfer offer.
But remember the key rule of balance transfers: Once you make a balance transfer, hide your card away and don't use it until the full balance is paid off. Any payments you make go towards the balance with the lowest interest rate, meaning any new purchases you make start accruing 21.99% interest.
As for what else this card offers, it's a well-rounded travel card. Here's what you'll earn for rewards.
- 5 points per $1 spent on travel
- 3 points per $1 spent on dining, entertainment, and recurring bills
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
While travelling, you benefit from 14 types of insurance coverage, and you'll get 4 complimentary passes to Mastercard Travel Pass lounges.

New addition to the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Card offer
There's a new addition to the welcome offer for the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Card, and it's very unique. Every month for the first 12 months, you can earn a $20 credit towards streaming services. How it works:
- Spend at least $500 on your card in a month
- Earn $20 cash back on streaming services charged to the card, including regular cable bills
If you take advantage of this every month, that's $240 back in your pocket over the course of the year. And it's on top of the regular 70,000 points welcome offer, which is worth up to $469.
- 40,000 points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months
- 30,000 points after spending $24,000 in the first year
The final kick is our GeniusCash offer of $150.
As to what you'll earn on your purchases? You'll get rewards for the basics, like gas and groceries.
- 5 points for every $1 spent on dining, groceries, gas, and transit
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
It also comes with an annual $50 credit. And you'll get 10% bonus points if you add an authorized user.

Updated offer for the BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege Card
The BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege Card now has a much bigger offer than before. It was 120,000 points but has been increased to 200,000 points. However, it's not easy to earn.
- 80,000 points after spending $6,000 in the first 110 days
- 40,000 points after spending $30,000 in the first 6 months
- 80,000 points after spending $75,000 in the first year.
To get it all, you need to spend an average of $6,250 per month over the first year.
This is a very full-featured card, with a very full annual fee of $599. Rewards? The best you'll get from any BMO Rewards card.
- 5 points for every $1 spent on travel, dining, gas, groceries, and drugstores
- 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
The annual credit? Very large at $200. And you'll earn 25% more points when you add an authorized user.
Throw in 6 complimentary lounge passes and tons of insurance, and there is a lot to like about this card.
