How to save on fuel at Shell with a BMO Air Miles Mastercard
Here's how you can get your fuel discount, which is worth up to $100.
Step 1 – apply and get approved for a BMO Air Miles Mastercard
First, you need to apply for either the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard or the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard. And to get this offer, you'll need to apply by February 29, 2024 and be approved by March 15, 2024.
Step 2 – get fuel at Shell
You'll have to pay with your BMO Air Miles Mastercard and make sure you swipe the Air Miles collector card connected to your BMO card.

You'll save 25 cents per litre on any grade fuel, and this is good for up to 50 litres per fill-up. You can take advantage of this opportunity 8 times in total.

- 2x the Miles for every $12 spent at any eligible grocery, liquor, and wholesale stores

This card comes with an annual fee of $120 and income requirements of either $80,000 personal or $150,000 household.

The other card is the no fee BMO AIR MILES Mastercard. It's a basic card that offers an easy way to earn Air Miles everywhere.
This card offers:
- 1 Mile per $25 spent on all purchases
- 3x the Miles for every $25 at participating Air Miles partners
- 2x the Miles for every $25 spent at any eligible grocery, liquor, and wholesale stores
It also comes with a decent welcome offer, where you'll earn 1,500 Air Miles after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months.
To top it off, if you have any existing credit card debt, it comes with a balance transfer offer of 0.99% for the first 9 months you have the card.
