Get your 50% bonus Aeroplan points
There's really not much you have to do – you don't even have to register your Aeroplan account.
To get your bonus points, just make a flight booking between Jan 4 – 31, 2026 for travel completed before December 31, 2026.
Sadly, any flights you booked before the offer opened won't be eligible.
There are a couple of terms to be aware of. First, your flight has to be operated by Air Canada, Rouge, or Express. Codeshare flights operated by others don't count.
The only other term is that basic economy fares aren't eligible. However, every other fare class will count, including standard economy.
And that's it!
One more thing to keep in mind is that Air Canada's new rules for earning points on flights have changed. You can see the detail here, but basically, points are awarded based on how much you paid, not how far you flew.
Earn Aeroplan points everywhere with a credit card
Credit cards are an excellent way to earn Aeroplan points on all your purchases. Unless you're a frequent flyer, you won't earn many points by flying, as points take a while to accumulate with only the occasional flight.
Here's a listing of your top options, including cards that allow you to transfer your points to Aeroplan.
