Top cards from TD

Our review
If you spend a lot of money on your monthly recurring bills, groceries, and gas ‒ then the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card has the kind of rewards you'll be interested in.
But it offers more than just rewards, with one perk that isn't found on many credit cards in Canada.
Here are the details on the card.
Earning cash back with the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card
Each purchase you make with the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card earns you a slice of cash back. This cash back can then be used as a statement credit to help pay your bill.
Here's what you'll earn:
- 3% cash back on gas, groceries, EV charging, public transit, digital gaming, and recurring bills
- 1% cash back on all other purchases
Keep in mind though that these 3 categories each have their own independent spending limit of $15,000 per year, after which you'll earn 1%. Fortunately, that works out to $1,250 in spending per month which is more than enough to accommodate most Canadian households.
And, unlike most cash back cards that only give you a statement credit once a year, the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card will let you redeem your cash back once you've accumulated $25.
3 benefits to the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card
This credit card offers more than just cash back – here's what else it has to offer.
1. Bonus cash back with a welcome bonus
To start, you'll earn 10% cash back on groceries, gas, and recurring bills for the first 3 months, up to a combined spend of $3,500.
That works out to $350. Just keep in mind this includes what you would be earning anyway with your regular earn rates.
2. Free roadside assistance
Free roadside assistance is one of the rarest credit cards perks. And the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card is one of those cards that provides it.
This card comes with emergency road services through the Deluxe TD Auto Club Membership. This coverage is comparable to a CAA plus membership, which can cost over $100 per year plus taxes. This feature alone could be worth the card's annual fee.
3. Included travel insurance
What's more? This card allows you to travel worry-free thanks to the included travel insurance.
The card comes with 7 types of insurance – you can see the full details above.
2 things to think about with the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite Card
Here are 2 things you'll want to keep in mind.
1. High income requirements

You'll either need a personal income of $60,000 or a household income of $100,000 to qualify.
2. Standard credit card interest rates
If you pay your bill in full and on time, every month, this won't concern you.
There's no break from credit card interest here, having a rate of 21.99% on purchases and 22.99% on cash advances and balance transfers.

Bad customer service. Called 2 ti.es. First could not send me verification code and second time said 2 min waiting time. It is 17 min now and still nobody answering.
In otder to avoid yearly charges have to keep $4,000. in the all inclusive checking! This should be used for investing
Approval took longer, but the card was as expected. No surprises.
An absolute hassle to apply through a TD for approval. I have since canceled the card when incentives were completed.
Way too agressive fraud detection. It randomly stops working, last time it was blocked after an 18$ charge from PayPal which I used for over a decade. Resulted in embarrassment since I wasn't able to pay restaurant bill while travelling. Cannot trust to take it with me as I don't know when it works.
