Every Starbucks Sip-tember offer

Sip-tember is split into 4 weekly challenges, each with a different offer.

When you make a qualifying purchase that matches the offer, you'll also get 15 bonus points and 1 entry for the grand prize of 100,000 Aeroplan points.

Here are the weekly offers:

Week 1: Cold coffee bonus

Buy any cold coffee between September 1–7 for 15 bonus Aeroplan points and 1 entry to win the 100,000-point grand prize.

Complete the offer twice for up to 30 points and 2 entries.

Week 2: Beverage and bakery bonus

Buy a bakery item and beverage in one transaction between September 8–14 for 20 bonus points and 1 entry.

Complete the offer twice for up to 40 points and 2 entries.

Week 3: Afternoon visit bonus

Spend at least $12 in 1 transaction between noon and midnight September 15–21 for 25 bonus points and one entry.

Complete the offer twice for up to 50 points and two entries.

Week 4: Conversion bonus

Convert Aeroplan points into Starbucks Stars between September 22–28 to receive 25% bonus Stars and 1 entry.

This offer is available once per member, to a maximum bonus of 250 bonus Stars and 1 entry.

The standard transfer rate is 400 Aeroplan points to 100 Stars. With this bonus, you'll get 125 Stars instead. That's equivalent to a free beverage modifier.

Is this transfer bonus worth it? In most cases, you're better off saving your Aeroplan points for flights.

But if you happen to like whole bean bagged coffee, you can get up to 2 cents per point (CPP) out of your Aeroplan points. And, as we've recently calculated, Aeroplan points are worth 1.6 cents each in 2026.

Cost of reward in $ / cost of reward in points x 100 = value in cents per point (CPP)

We've also done the math on the best way to spend your Starbucks Stars, and it's cashing in 300 Stars for whole bean bagged coffee.

Even without the transfer bonus, trading 1200 Aeroplan points to get 300 Stars for your next specialty bag of whole bean Starbucks Reserve gives you almost as much value per point as you'd get trading in points for a flight. With the transfer bonus, you'd get a sweet 75 extra Stars from this same transfer. But remember, in order to maximize their value, you'll want to save them up until you hit 300 again.

If you're not in the market for whole bean coffee, you may want to hold off on this offer. When you spend Stars on typical Starbucks treats, like coffee and pastries, you'll cut the value of your Aeroplan points significantly.

Bonus points for completing all 4 offers

You'll also get a bonus 100 Aeroplan points if you complete all 4 offers.

Since the fourth weekly challenge requires a transfer of Aeroplan points into Starbucks Stars, you'll need to have at least 400 Aeroplan points in your account, since this is the minimum number required for an Aeroplan–Stars point transfer.

How to connect Starbucks and Aeroplan accounts

You can connect your Starbucks and Aeroplan rewards accounts by visiting the official Aeroplan partners page. Linking with Aeroplan opens the door to exclusive Aeroplan offers and rewards on eligible Starbucks activity.

Not a Starbucks member yet? Right now, you can get a 500-point bonus when you make your first Starbucks rewards purchase within 7 days of signing up. With Aeroplan points worth 1.6 cents each, that's $8 toward your next flight.

Not signed up for Aeroplan? Even if you don't fly Air Canada often, it's worth creating an account. You can convert 400 of your bonus points into 125 Stars during the week-4 point transfer offer.

Plus, Aeroplan has other partnerships like Uber, Journie, and LCBO.

Starbucks Rewards members can earn more by linking their account with Aeroplan or an eligible TD credit card. TD customers can link eligible cards to Starbucks Rewards to earn additional Stars on qualifying Starbucks purchases. New Starbucks Rewards members may also qualify for a 200-Star bonus after linking an eligible TD card and making a qualifying purchase within seven days.

Eligible TD cards include products across several families, including:

If you already have one of these cards, linking it is an easy way to add another layer of rewards to Starbucks spending.

Should I join Sip-tember?

The flashiest part of this promotion is definitely the chance to win the 100,000-Aeroplan-point grand prize, which is worth about $1,600 toward flights, considering the average value of 1.6 cents per point.

While it's definitely possible to win, the likelihood is small, so the best way to maximize Sip-tember is to stack rewards you were already going to earn.

While the chance to win the grand prize is incredibly tempting, it's not worth it to start buying Iced Lattes for all your coworkers to improve your chances of winning, because other than the grand prize, the bonus points offered on purchases won't make a very big impact. The 100 Aeroplan-point completion bonus is worth roughly $1.60 in travel value. The 30 points available in Week 1, for example, add another 48 cents.

This means the strongest play is to complete offers on Starbucks purchases you were already planning to make, earn the weekly bonuses, and avoid spending extra to chase a small reward.

Our verdict: Link your accounts so you're ready to earn all your bonus points. But don't splurge on expensive items you wouldn't normally buy. And only complete the transfer offer if you're ready to optimize your Stars (or don't mind missing out on flight value).
