BMO VIPorter Mastercards Coming Soon

Porter is coming to the credit card world. Sometime in spring 2025, Porter is teaming up with BMO to offer a suite of Mastercards. With them, Canadians will be able to earn VIPorter points anywhere they shop.

While there aren't any details yet, this is what we know so far. As more information becomes available, we'll continue to update this post.

New BMO VIPorter Mastercards

Porter is going to start with a bang, issuing not just one Mastercard but a suite of them. While the announcement wording suggests the launch is fluid, they're expecting to introduce these cards sometime in the spring of 2025.

BMO and Porter haven't released any details of what these cards will include or what they're going to look like. We've reached out to BMO to see if they can provide any info but we're not hopeful that they’ll share anything new.

There is one tidbit that caught our eye in their press release: As part of this launch, VIPorter members will be able to redeem points with Porter's airline partners. Like Air Transat. We're hoping that you'll be able to redeem your points when flying with Air Transat to their sun destinations.

They also have a growing list of airline partners with whom you may eventually be able to redeem VIPorter points. Here are a few of the major ones:

• Alaska Airlines
• British Airways
• Delta
• jetBlue
• AeroMexico
• Qatar Airways

Eligible applicants can receive an extra 10,000 VIPorter points on top of whatever welcome bonus the cards will offer. Porter will also email you when they release new details about the cards.
