AIR MILES new travel provider
In an email sent to AIR MILES members, BMO's motivation for making this change seems clear: By partnering with Expedia, AIR MILES will be able to offer a broader range of travel options. Just note that this does not include cruises.
One important note is that there is no longer a minimum redemption amount required to use your AIR MILES.
This seemingly small change is actually a huge update.
Right now, you can only book and redeem with a select number of airlines/hotel chains/car rental agencies. And while all of Canada's airlines are available, there are plenty of other carriers you can't book with.
That will be a thing of the past when AIR MILES makes the booking engine switch.
