Top cards from TD

Our review
The TD® Aeroplan®Visa Infinite* Card is the top Aeroplan-branded credit card for people who want a card with a reasonable annual fee of $139 ($75 for additional authorized users).
It gives you a lot of Air Canada specific perks and helps you accumulate points at an advanced rate.
Earning Aeroplan points
Earning 1 Aeroplan point per dollar spent on a premium credit card is to be expected, but the TD® Aeroplan®Visa Infinite* Card Card has a few bonus spending categories that are definitely a nice extra.
That's right, you'll be able to earn 1.5 points for every dollar spent on:
- gas,
- electric vehicle charging,
- groceries, and
- purchases through Air Canada.
Considering we value an Aeroplan point at 2 cents each (when redeemed for flights), you'll be getting a 3% return on all of the above purchases, and a 2% return on all of your other spending – which is really quite impressive.
Plus, after making your first purchase, you'll get 10,000 points. Spend $7,500 in the first 180 days, you'll also receive another 15,000 Aeroplan points. Finally, spend $12,000 in the first 12 months and you'll get a one time anniversary bonus of 20,000 points.
Air Canada specific perks
Not only will you be able to redeem your points for flights through Air Canada, but you'll get to enjoy some great perks while you're at it.
With this card, you’ll get:
- one complimentary checked bag,
- preferred pricing on reward flights, and
- 1,000 Elite Status Miles for every $10,000 spent annually.
Travel insurance coverage
One really nice feature about this card is that not only do you get a strong set of included insurance coverage, but your coverage even applies when you're flying on an Aeroplan reward ticket. Most cards require you to charge the full value of your airfare to have insurance coverage, making it a rare benefit.
In addition, you can take advantage of its complimentary concierge service and a few other Visa Infinite perks.
Interested in getting your annual fee rebated?
Another nice feature for this card is that if you have the TD All-Inclusive Banking plan, this card qualifies for the credit card fee rebate.
And while that banking plan does have a monthly fee of $29.95, it'll also be rebated if you maintain a minimum monthly balance of $5,000 – a great way to get a premium card for no annual fee.

I orderd card last year for travel (baggage) with Air Canada, bought tickets via Air Canada,
Had to pay baggage fee with Lufthansa (star alliance) because they switch flight to Lufthansa in Montreal and after trip when I claimed baggage fee to aeroplane (Air Canada) they never rembursed my money
So NEVER EVER td aeroplane
Terrible customer service. We had a death in the family and they refused to raise our credit limit $100 to allow us to purchase a flight home for the funeral. We have never been late on a payment and pay all of our cards in full every month.
This credit card wasted me enormous amounts of time. I received the card and used it for one month, then it glitched and stopped working. My account was locked from trying to use it. The only way you can unlock the account is to GO TO A TD Branch. Incredible. Unfortunately, I overpaid my first payment because their only payment process/interface is confusing. I've called them three times to have the balance mailed back to me. Each time they tell me it will take 3 weeks. Each time they don't send it. I just did it again. Next I'm filing a complaint with the FCAC.
The insurance portion of this card is useless. The administer of the insurance will make you jump through multiple hoops to try and disqualify you from claiming. Just make sure you don’t apply any credits to the ticket cost as you can never claim more than 25% or your insurance is void. The FARE they refer to is the ORIGINAL cost before any credits are applied not the actual fare. Why pay for a card that is supposed to give you insurance but has all these rules to disallow it. Check out the WestJet card with a discounted yearly companion ticket. Much better option
Hi
the worst card ever
I booked trip to Europe with Air Canada, one time on terminal they charged me two bags, 75$ each even that they said its free off charge because you own this card, so I never been refunded for those fees
