There's a new airport in Montréal for commercial flights. Porter has announced initial destinations for flights departing from Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET), including Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, and Toronto.
This has been in the works since 2023, when Porter announced they were building a new passenger terminal at the Montreal Metropolitan Airport. Soon, that plan will come to fruition.
This airport will be for domestic flights only – there are no plans to allow international flights.

Porter's first flights from Montreal Metropolitan Airport
The Montreal Metropolitan Airport is located in Longueuil, about 16 km from downtown Montréal. The airport code for the Montreal Metropolitan Airport is YHU.
Porter's first flights will debut on June 15, 2026. But not all destinations will start on that date. Porter will slowly be ramping up over a week.
Here's the list of Porter's initial flight destinations. Note that a few of these are seasonal and will end in September.

- Hamilton
- Moncton (seasonal)
- Quebec City
- St. John's (seasonal)

Each of these flights will be operated at least 7x per day, with some routes flying more often.
Altogether, Porter will be operating 138 flights a week from the new airport.

Other airlines operating from YHU
Porter isn't the only airline operating from the Montreal Metropolitan Airport. Pascan Aviation has been running flights from this airport for years.
Pascan is a regional airline, offering flights around Quebec and New Brunswick. Once Porter's new terminal opens, Pascan will be operating their flights from there.
Porter and Pascan have a code-sharing agreement in place – you'll be able to seamlessly transfer on flights between these airlines.

Previously known as Saint-Hubert Airport, the Montreal Metropolitan Airport (YHU) is located in Longueuil, east of the Island of Montreal, at the corner of highways 30 and 116.
It's a similar distance from downtown to the existing Montréal–Trudeau International Airport, but east instead of southwest.
The Montreal Metropolitan Airport has 9 gates. While it's a small airport, it has all the basics you would expect:
- Short- and long-term parking
- 2 restaurants
- Rental cars from Enterprise, Alamo, and National
The airport will also have a shuttle to connect the airport to the Longeuil metro station.
