To say it hasn’t been a good year for Air Miles might be an understatement. Some big name partners have said goodbye, with the biggest being Sobeys and Safeway.
We do have a little bit of good news – one of their major partners has signed a new deal to stay on for a few more years. Yup, the Air Miles and Shell partnership is here to stay.
And as a bonus, there are several terrific offers if you link a Mastercard to your Air Miles card.
Let’s take a look at some good Air Miles news.

Shell signs new multi-year contract with Air Miles
In many past news posts about Air Miles, we did wonder if Shell would be the next major sponsor to go.
Thankfully that’s not happening, at least in the short term. Air Miles has announced a multi-year contract extension with Shell Canada.
How long the contract runs for isn’t stated. But we would think this runs for at least 2 more years, and possibly more.
If you fill up at Shell for the Air Miles, you’re safe for the time being.
