Our review
The BMO AIR MILES World Elite Business Mastercard allows you to earn AIR MILES on every purchase.
It doesn't stop there though, this card also offers a wide range of travel and purchase insurance as well as useful protection for businesses, such as BMO’s Liability Waiver program and an extended grace period.
Although there is an annual fee of $149, you will get to try out this card for free for the first year, and you will be given up to 8,000 miles as a welcome bonus.
Rewards – Redeeming for travel
Although AIR MILES can be used as travel rewards or as cash rewards, if you want the best value, travel is the way to go.
If you redeem your AIR MILES for travel rather than cash rewards, your average return on spending will increase significantly – 1.17% average return with travel and 0.97% average return with cash.
When you consider the sign-up bonus, It's really easy to see the difference that return makes.
8,000 bonus miles * 1.17% = $1,016 in travel rewards
VS
8,000 bonus miles * 0.97% = $840 in cash rewards
That's a $176 difference when you redeem your rewards for cash instead of travel – and I doubt there are many people who feel okay about leaving that kind of money on the table.
Travel and purchase insurance
One of the most impressive features of this card is the amount of insurance it offers - a total of 13 different types:

Personal Effects is definitely an insurance type to take note of.
It is quite rare, and will cover you if your personal items have been stolen at any point of your trip.
Additional protection

Liability Waiver Program
In the event that you suspect another cardholder is misusing any of the additional BMO AIR MILES Business Mastercards you may have, the Liability Waiver program will provide security by waiving the customer’s liability for wrongful charges.
Extended Grace period
The Extended Grace period allows for a more flexible repayment schedule, which can be ideal for any business with either fluctuating or seasonal income – you get at least 25 days to pay your bill before you get dinged with interest fees.
The bottom line
As a whole, the BMO AIR MILES Business World Elite Mastercard is an excellent business travel card because of the sheer amount of different types of insurance it offers – every single type of travel insurance you could ever wish for in a travel card, you get with this one.

I've had this card for years but Airmiles isn't doing it for me anymore. The flights booked using Airmiles are more expensive and hard to cancel unlike Aeroplan fights. I'm going to over to a card that gets me Aeroplan points instead.
