We’re in an unprecedented time right now with COVID-19. And one of the major disruptions is to travel, where our border is semi-closed, and airlines are cancelling mass amounts of flights.
If you’re a large AIR MILES collector, you may want to switch to collecting cash miles for the time being, and use them to take a bite out of day to day expenses like gas and groceries.

2 ways to change your AIR MILES settings
So, how do you change your earn settings from Dream to Cash?
There are 2 ways to do it – using a standard web browser or using the AIR MILES app for iOS or Android phones.
And when you’re ready to start collecting Dream Miles again, use these same steps to change your earnings preference back. Just note that your changes won’t take effect until the next day at 3 AM Eastern time.
1. Change your AIR MILES earning preference using a web browser
Using a standard web browser, click on this link, then sign into your account.
You should then see a screen like this:

Simply move the slider to your desired earn ratio and click set my preferences.
2. Use the AIR MILES app to change your settings
The other way is to use the AIR MILES app on your smartphone (all screenshots and instructions are for an Android phone).
Open the app, and tap on account at the bottom right:

At the top of the screen, you’ll see your current earning preferences. Tap on it, and you’ll see the slider to change your preferences:

Simply change the slider to your desired earnings preference and tap the “Save” button.
And that’s it! 2 ways for you to change your AIR MILES earnings preferences.
