You might be surprised to learn that car rentals, not flights, give you the best value for your Air Miles points.
Travel packages, attractions, and flights still offer solid value, but you’ll probably want to avoid cashing in your hard-earned Air Miles for hotels and merchandise, which give the lowest value.
As of January 25, 2026, BMO has merged Dream Miles and Cash Miles, so you no longer have to choose how you’d like your rewards paid out. Instead, all Air Miles can be redeemed for any category, greatly simplifying the rewards program.
