Enter the latest promotion from American Express
Normally a 1:1 transfer value, from now until November 11th 2017, if cardholders transfer their Amex Membership Reward points to Avios points they will receive a 25% increase.
25%! Yep, you read that right.
Just by transfer your points through the American Express website you can take
- 1,000 Membership Rewards points to 1,250 Avios points
- 30,000 Membership Rewards points to 37,000 Avios points
- 50,000 Membership Rewards points to 62,500 Avios points
When you consider the fact that 40,000 Avios points can get you a return flight from Toronto to London and some American Express cards give you a sign up bonus of 25,000 – 50,000 Membership Rewards (which when transferred would be between 31,250 – 75,000 Avios points), it is easy to see the value there.
The Avios points offered by the British Airways Executive Club are valuable rewards with many redemption options, and will give you a great deal on short haul flights in particular.
Keep in mind when you redeem Membership Rewards points for travel statement credits directly that gives you a 1 cent per point value.
If you transfer 1:1 to British Airways Avios miles and redeem smartly for short haul flights, you can get a 2 to 3 cent per point value. Add a 25% bonus to that and you’re getting a 2.5 to 3.75 cent per point value.
Who doesn’t want to triple the value of their points?
Here are a couple of cards, with great sign up bonuses, that will help you make the most of this offer.
